Daniel Selff is a 34-year-old Brisbane high school teacher with deep regional roots, stepping forward as a Libertarian candidate to put power back where it belongs, in the hands of Queenslanders.

Daniels core belief is simple; instead of trying to “help” people cope with high costs through subsidies, the government should stop creating policies that are inflationary in the first place.

 

He believes individuals and communities make better decisions than distant bureaucracies and is focused on tackling cost of living pressures by removing the state-driven barriers, especially in energy and housing, delivering cheaper, more reliable power and making it easier to live and work in Queensland.

 

On housing, he argues real reform means dramatically increasing supply, simplified planning, removing restrictive zoning, prompt approval timeframes, and freeing up land.
Daniel is equally committed to strengthening frontline services by stripping back bureaucracy and trusting teachers, nurses, police and emergency workers to get on with the job without political interference.
